Taco Pizza

Taco meat and vegetables layered with plenty of cheese on a pizza crust--sure to be a family favorite.
 

Ingredients

  • Pizza crust, precooked, mix or dough ready to bake, your choice
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • Sauce can be either salsa, tomato sauce, or a layer of refried beans
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 fresh tomato, chopped
  • 1 package shredded cheese
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish, optional

Method

Preheat oven to temperature on pizza crust package. Cook ground beef, strain grease, add seasoning mix following directions on the label and set aside. Cut vegetables to desired thickness and set aside. Place pizza crust on pizza stone or pan. With a large spoon spread salsa, tomato sauce, or refried beans on crust. Cover with seasoned ground beef. Place vegetables of your choice (perhaps green onion, yellow pepper, and roma tomatoes) on top of beef. Cover entire pizza with cheese. Place in preheated oven. Let bake for time designated on crust package. Check about halfway through baking.
