Jacqui's Fluffy Spanish Rice

Long-grain white rice is cooked in a mixture with garlic, chicken bouillon granules and tomato sauce.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups white long grain rice
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 2 tbsp chicken bouillon granules (or to taste)
  • 2 minced fresh garlic cloves
  • 1/2 can tomato sauce (about 1/2 cup)
  • 2 3/4 cups water
 
Method

In saucepan over medium heat cook rice and garlic in hot oil about 30 seconds. Carefully add tomato sauce, chicken bouillon and water; bring to a boil. Turn down to low heat, cover, and let steam until done, about 30-40 minutes.

 

Notes: Enjoy the most airy, fluffy rice ever.
