In medium saucepan with tight-fitting lid place all ingredients. On high heat bring ingredients to boil for 1 minute. Lower heat to low and simmer until beans are cooked through, at least 10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve immediately. These are good next day if any left over. These beans are more plump than regular limas and sweeter in taste. Adjust seasoning to suit taste. Ham is slightly saltly to start with so those with low salt intake should rinse ham well.
